Gone But Not Forgotten "FRIENDS OF FOOTBALL"
This page is dedicate to the Friends of Football, that have played in the former Burlington Touch Football League or present, Golden Horseshoe Touch Football Association (GHTFA). Each one of these former players contributed a good portion of their life, enjoying the game of touch but have since passed away. Lets not forget!
Randy Van Impe
Randy passed away on September 9, 2023 surrounded by Yvonne (his wife of 50 years) and children Tom, Amy and Mary.
Randy always enjoyed football having played high school ball at both Nelson and then Aldershot. Randy played a number of years in the GHTFA with the Fox 40 team and in his later years in the Masters League joined by brothers Phil and Tom. Always great fun and camaraderie and a few beers...the brothers all enjoyed the years playing Masters Football together. Randy will be deeply missed by his 6 siblings, his own immediate family including grand kids and his many friends.
Mike Caslin
The GHTFA is saddened by the unexpected passing of Mike Caslin on May 28, 2023. Mike was a 25 year player with the Broncos, after playing prior to that for 2 years with the DD Blitz team. Mike was known as a great teammate, and an even better friend. In addition to his teammates, Mike leaves behind two sons and his brother Jim who also previously played with the Broncos. Our condolences to all that knew him.

Craig Connolly
“It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Craig Connolly on Saturday, July 16th from brain cancer. Craig was a 25+ year player in the GHTFA with a handful of teams including Gator Ted’s, the Hornets, and currently the Thunder . He also played for many years in the Masters League. Craig’s unmatched humour on the football field was his trademark and it will be much quieter at games without him around. Our condolences go out to his wife Jodie, his kids Peyton & Callum, and all his friends and former teammates in the touch football community.”
