The GHTFA has over 40 years of history and has at time had as many as 50 teams playing in several leagues within the association.  The current configuration of the GHTFA is:
  • AA League highly competitive league where the majority of teams and players compete for provincial and national championships at the highest level.  In 2018 this league had four teams.
  • Tier One League consisting of competitive teams that break out into two divisions for the playoffs A  champion and BB champion are crowns from this group of teams,
  • Tier Two League is a recreational league and for the playoffs this group of teams breaks into two divisions for the B champion and CC champion.
  • 50+ League for men 50 and over who want to get out and play touch football on Tuesday evening throughout the summer from June to August at MM Robinson High School.
  • Master's League  for players over 35 from all level of play from beginner to retired professional players who get together on Thursday nights from August to November at Nelson Stadium.

Each league have representatives chosen annually who is responsible for teams and players within their respective leagues.
